Twin 72-Inch Sanitary Sewer Interceptor Replacement

The Twin 72-inch Diameter Sanitary Sewer Interceptor Replacement and Rehabilitation project involved replacing and upsizing an existing dual 72-inch gravity sewer reinforced concrete pipeline. This included the removal, demolition, and replacement of 17,950 linear feet of the existing 72” reinforced concrete pipe with 13,550 linear feet of 78” fiberglass reinforced pipe and 3,600 linear feet of 72” fiberglass reinforced pipe, all at depths ranging from 10 to 22 feet.

The project also included several specialty components, such as the rehabilitation of two existing 72-inch pipelines, the installation of a new 30” force main, 30” plug valves, and a valve vault. Additionally, 6,000 linear feet of 24” reclaimed water line was removed and replaced, and multiple 72” point repairs were made to the existing sanitary sewer in highly sensitive areas. Park Construction proudly completed the project ahead of schedule and under budget.
